“I went to India and fell in love with Kabaddi” Meet Woo Hee-jun, Kabaddi-playing Miss Korea

Woo Hee-jun chanced upon kabaddi during her trip to India in 2014. Since then, she fell in love with the sport and became a member of the South Korean national kabaddi team the next year. To promote the sport and break common stereotypes against athletes, she went on to participate in the Miss Korea & Miss Earth beauty pageants and became the 2019 Miss Korea 1st runner-up. But she didn’t stop there! Her next challenge is to become an army officer as she has 6 months left of her cadet training.
